LSU Baseball Beats Alcorn St.: Improves to 27-2

The LSU Baseball team is having one of the best starts in school history. After beating Alcorn St. (6-27) 7-3 on Tuesday, the Tigers are now 27-2 on the season and ranked #2 in the nation behind North Carolina.

Freshman shortstop Alex Bregman had his ninth straight multi-hit game. He has a 17 game hitting streak, batting .619 over his last nine games.

Alcorn St. hit a pair of homers in the first two inning and lead early 3-0.

Raph Rhymes hit his second home run of the year and Mason Katz went 2-2 with two walks.

Reliever Hunter Devall earned the victory with four shut-out innings.
