It's the same situation we all dream of. Ever since we were kids, we think of the same end to a game...bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, you're at the plate...home run wins the game.

That exact scenario met Warren Morris in the College World Series on June 8th, 1996. With the game, and NCAA Baseball National Championship on the line, Morris came to the plate with two outs, wearing his gold LSU jersey, and fought through the greatest at bat in LSU Tiger history.

Morris and the Tigers were facing Miami (FL),down by one, there's a runner on third, the batter before just struck out. The first pitch Morris sees, he golfs it over the outfield fence for his first, and only, home run of the season.

The 1996 NCAA Championship was not the first for LSU, they'd won before in 1991 and 1993. It isn't their most recent either, they won in 1997, 2000, and 2009 as well. But that 1996 Championship, delivered by the bat of Warren Morris, might be the most memorable of all time. Not just the most memorable in LSU history, but in the history of NCAA Baseball.
