The Ark-La-Tex’s Favorite Marvel Movies From the MCU: Ranks 6-4
Avengers fever is spreading like crazy. We're just a couple weeks away from Avengers: Endgame hitting theaters, and destroying every box office record that exists. The advanced ticket sales have already set a ton of records, and took down a few sites and apps along the way.
So a couple weeks ago, we asked what our area's favorite Marvel movies from the MCU were. Now the votes are counted, and we're ready to reveal the results...
This list is big, so we're going to break it up into multiple posts. We will link them altogether though, so you can see the entire list. We're going to start now with movies #6-#4:
6. Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
After Thor: The Dark World, the blonde demigod needed a reboot within his own franchise...and Ragnarok delivered. The colors, the story, the acting, all of it was a high note for the Thor series, and a much needed dose of excitement heading into the gravity of Infinity War.
5. Captain Marvel (2019)
After Infinity War, the MCU needed Ant-Man & Wasp to bring some humor back to the universe, but after that, fans needed to see the hope on the horizon. Captain Marvel is already destined to be the answer to Thanos' power, but we needed to see it for ourselves, and boy did Captain Marvel deliver.
4. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
really doesn't matter who you ask, fans of the MCU will put this film in the Top 5 (most of the time, even if not Top 5, it's always Top 10) of the movies. This was the best mix of humor, action, and meaningfulness to the entire MCU that we've seen yet. James Gunn brought an incredible take on a cast of Marvel characters that casual fans could barley recognize.
