Ringo Award-nominated Comic Creator Coming to Geek’d Con
Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is coming back to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 2024 Geek'd Con will take place August 16th, 17th, and 18th, at the Shreveport Convention Center.

The guest lineup will include horror movie icon Tony Todd, Scrubs star John C. McGinley, the voice of Master Chief Steve Downes, award winning actor Billy Zane, the voice of Mickey Mouse Bret Iwan, and many more incredibly talented celebrities. Including some great comic book creator talent.
Artists from titles like Deadpool, Spider-Man, and She-Hulk will be on-hand, joined by a large group of creators from Scout Comics. One of those Scout creators is Brenton Lengel.
Brenton Lengel is a Ringo Award-nominated writer of plays, screenplays, comics, and novels. He is an Appalachian Trail 2000-Miler and holds a BA in theatre from the University of Kentucky. Brenton has trained under state poet laureates, HBO execs, and Emmy-award winning screenwriters.
He is best known for his play "North to Maine," his three comic series "Snow White Zombie: Apocalypse” published by Scout Comics, "Durruti: Shadow of the People”, and “NPCs: Myth Magic and Retail” his collaboration with Kit Buss of Critical Role—as well as "Afterall," his urban fantasy collaboration with Rogue, lead singer of The Crüxshadows.
