Disney Comic Book Artist Coming to Shreveport
Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is coming back to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 2024 Geek'd Con will take place August 16th, 17th, and 18th, at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Geek'd Con has become one of the biggest "comic con" style events in the state of Louisiana since it started in Downtown Shreveport back in 2015. The event has welcomed over 10,000 fans each weekend since the start. It has also brought millions of dollars in economic impact to the Shreveport and Bossier area.
Every year there are dozens of celebrities that attend the event. From blockbuster movie stars to anime voice actors, and of course...comic book creators.
This year's comic book guests include an artist who has worked with both Marvel Comics and Walt Disney...separately. That artist is Peter Smith!
Peter graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration. From his beginnings working in the Walt Disney animation department at Disney/MGM Studios in Florida to doing his college internship at Marvel Comics in New York City, he has worked for some of the largest entertainment companies in the world.
Throughout his career, Peter has done work for companies such as Universal Studios, Disney, Marvel Comics, Hot Topic, MERC Publishing, Dynamite Entertainment, and IDW Publishing.
He has worked as a professional illustrator for over two decades and is Editor in Chief, Creative Director, and an owner at Crimson Fable Studios.
Currently he is creating, illustrating, and writing The Chronicles of Zelaria, a comic novella that combines Sci-Fi, SteamPunk, and Fairytales. Peter also is working with Aequitas Comics on several projects including OMG! A Horror Anthology as a writer, interior artist, cover artist, and advisor.
In addition to his professional work in the art field, Peter is also the animation director at the Florida Film Academy in Winter Garden, Florida.
Come see Peter, and all the other comic book talent, at Geek'd Con this year.
