NSU Demons

UPDATE:  Today's LSU-NSU baseball game has been moved to Thursday at 3pm due to icy road conditions. The NSU Demons have moved up Tuesday's game time to 3:30 p.m. in hopes of avoiding extreme cold weather after nightfall in a game against LSU.  It's the first time the Tigers will visit Natchitoches since 2003.

Northwestern State head football coach Jay Thomas is now on the hunt for two coaches to add to his staff.

Bossier High product Jalan West scored 30 points to lead Northwestern State to a 85-74 victory over McNeese last night in Natchitoches.

Northwestern State University has released the 2014 football schedule. A couple big games for the Demons include a contest at Baylor, which will be NSU’s lone BCS opponent next season, and at Louisiana Tech.

The largest trophy in college athletics resides in Nacogdoches, Texas. It's name is Chief Caddo and every football season, Northwestern State and Stephen F. Austin play for it.  They'll be playing for it this Saturday at 1pm in Natchitoches.
