Northwestern State Prepares for Lamar after Upset of UCA

NSU first year head coach Jay Thomas got his first Southland Conference win of the season when the Demons upset the FCS nationally ranked Bears of Central Arkansas. I talked to Coach Thomas about the win and the upcoming game against Lamar.

The Demons had been 0 for their last 9 against FCS ranked teams.  The last time NSU beat a ranked opponent was in 2010.  Central Arkansas was ranked No. 15 and 18 before losing to Northwestern.

I was able to catch up with the coach at the Shreveport-Bossier NSU Demon Quarterback Club Luncheon.

Northwestern State (4-5, 1-3) plays Lamar (4-5, 1-3) Saturday at 3pm in Natchitoches.  You can hear the game on News Radio 710 KEEL.
