It comes down to one game Sunday night for the  Shreveport Mudbugs.

Game 5 in the playoff series with Corpus Christi is at 7:11 at George’s Pond at Hirsch Coliseum. The Ice Rays needed an overtime goal to even the series up at two games apiece.

The Ice Rays won game 4 in dramatic fashion and Mudbugs coach Karlis Zirnis tried to pump the players up, telling them now is not the time to look back. He said “we have to dig deep and get a little better.”

He added “two good teams going at it.”

Each team has defended home ice, so the Mudbugs might have a slight edge as they return to familiar ice.

The Mudbugs and Ice Rays will square off with the winner moving on to face Lone Star in the South Division Final.

The Lone Star Brahmas have had plenty of time to rest. They swept  the Odessa Jackalopes to move on to the NAHL South Division Finals.
