Help The Gingerbread House With Shreveport Mudbugs Hockey
Hockey season is officially back in Shreveport. The Shreveport Mudbugs kicked off their home schedule last month, and it has been great to have hockey action back at George's Pond inside The Hirsch.
This weekend, the Bugs are back at home, and have a lot going on. Including pre-game skating, band performances, mascot races, and a post-game skate with the players. It's a big weekend for hockey, and even includes a chance for you to give back.
The Mudbugs are partnering with the Gingerbread House to help them restock their ‘Snacks 5th Avenue’. If you’re coming to a game this weekend, or would like to drop off snacks before hand, please do so. They are looking for chips, cookies, muffins, nuts, trail mix, crackers, beef jerky, bottles of water, snack cakes, fruit snacks, pretzels, popcorn, applesauce, juice boxes, and more.
If you're not able to make it to a game this weekend, but still want to help out, there is an Amazaon Wishlist set up too. You can see that, and help out, right here.
Any Shreveport Mudbugs hockey game is a blast for the whole family, or just a date night. You can bring anyone out for incredible fun with the game, giveaways, and jerseys. Plus there will be skating with the players after the game on Saturday night, which is always fun for the kids. Even if they don't know how to skate, there are "skate trainers" that kids can hold onto while skating around.
