The LSU Baseball team took care of business Tuesday night against Stephen F. Austin, winning 8-1 in Baton Rouge. The Tigers put five pitchers on the mound during the game, all were effective.

Senior Kyle Bowman made his first start, allowing one run in four innings, but it was sophomore Hunter Newman who was credited with the win.

First baseman Danny Zardon hit his second home run of the year. Mark Laird had three hits and a stolen base.

LSU takes on Grambling Wednesday night before heading to the Houston College Classic at Minute Maid Park this weekend.
