LSU Baseball Hero Tre Morgan Signing At The Shreveport Card Show
An already impressive guest list for the upcoming Shreveport Card Show just got a major dose of LSU baseball power. Not just any LSU baseball power though, some National Championship power.
LSU National Champion, and current MLB prospect, Tre' Morgan is coming to Shreveport this January for the big Shreveport Card Show. The event will be held January 3rd and 4th, 2026, at the Shreveport Convention Center in Downtown Shreveport. This announcement adds another Louisiana sports iconicon to a lineup that already includes UFC legend Dustin "The Diamond" Poirier, another Louisiana native. Helping to make this the largest sports card show in Shreveport history.
From LSU Champion to MLB Prospect
Tre Morgan is a hero from LSU's 2023 College World Series Championship team, and was named to the All-Tournament Team while winning the National Championship. Morgans was known for his stellar defense at first base, and clutch performances at the plate.
For Shreveport sports fans, Morgan's addition is huge, as another star joining the Shreveport Card Show that has already cemented his place in the state's sports lore. Not only is Morgan known for being a cornerstone of the Tigers' national championship run, he was also named to the Collegiate Baseball All-American Second-Team, and was named LSU's Male Rookie of the Year during his Tiger career. Which gets extra credit for Louisiana sports fans, since Morgan is a New Orleans native.
After his career in Baton Rouge wrapped up, Morgan entered the 2023 MLB Draft. He was selected in the 3rd round by the Tampa Bay Rays. Some writers and scouts are starting to feel like that 3rd round pick is going to be considered a steal with the way Morgan has been playing through his minor league career.

Morgan hit almost .400 during his first (abbreviated) minor league season. During his first full season of pro ball, he hit a .324 average, with 10 home runs, and 68 RBIs while playing across multiple levels of baseball. He played A-ball with Charleston, High-A with Bowling Green, and AA baseball for Montgomery that season.
Currently, Morgan ranks as one of the Top 10 First Base prospects in all of baseball, and is the 7th rated prospect in the Rays organization.
This event gives local fans a prime opportunity to meet a hometown hero as he climbs the professional ranks. It's a chance to get an autograph from an athlete who has named to the MLB All Star Futures Game in 2024.
