Louisiana Department Of Health Teams Up With Geek’d Con
Geek'd Con, Shreveport's comic con, is back at the Shreveport Convention Center this August. Tons of geeks will get to have fun celebrating their fandoms August 13-15th in Downtown Shreveport.
After taking a year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the biggest reason for Geek'd Con's return are the release of the COVID-19 vaccines. Since the vaccines have become readily available, it has allowed a lot of life to get back to normal.
However there are still some people who have not gotten their COVID vaccines yet. Whether its because someone doesn't want to, or because they just haven't had time, it doesn't matter. It is completely up to each and every person.
But for those who just haven't made the time to do it, the Louisiana Department of Health, LSU Health Shreveport, and Geek'd Con have teamed up to give you a chance to get your vaccine this August. By bringing the vaccines to you.
At this year's Geek'd Con, LDH and LSU Health Shreveport will have vaccines on-hand for anyone to get their shots. Whether you need a single shot Johnson & Johnson, or to finish your Pfizer dose, LSU Health Shreveport will be available for both options. So even if you have a high school student that needs to start their Pfizer treatment, you can do that too, as long as a parent or guardian is present.
Best part is, you don't need to sign up! You'll be able to just drop by the LSU Health Shreveport area to get your shot on the go.
