Scrubs Actor John C. McGinley Coming To Shreveport

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is coming back to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 2024 Geek'd Con will take place August 16th, 17th, and 18th, at the Shreveport Convention Center. The event has hosted tons of celebrities over the last 9 years from all types of entertainment. From movie stars to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, with viral internet celebrities and professional wrestlers mixed in as well.

This year Geek'd Con will host one of the most recognizable faces from comedy television of a whole generation. Actor John C. McGinley is coming to Geek'd Con in Shreveport!

McGinley is best known for his role as Dr. Perry Cox in the Peabody and Emmy Award Winning show Scrubs.

In addition to Scrubs, McGinley also starred as the title character in the series Stan Against Evil.

His other TV roles include appearances in Chicago PD, Burn Notice, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, WordGirl, The Boondocks, Dan Vs, and The Practice.

McGinley has appeared in some of the most iconic movies of a generation as well. Including his roles as Bob Slydell in Office Space, Captain Hendrix in The Rock, Sergeant Red O'Neill in Oliver Stone's Platoon, Marv in Stone's Wall Street, FBI agent Ben Harp in Point Break, California in Seven, and the serial killer Edgler Foreman Vess in the TV miniseries of Intensity

McGinley's even had some fun with comic book related roles. Voicing The Atom in Justice League Unlimited, Metallo in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, and Richard Damien in Spider-Man: The New Animated Series.

He also voices Grumblegard in DreamWorks Dragons: Rescue Riders.
