Last year LSU beat Auburn 45-10 as the largest crown ever in Tiger Stadium history, 93,098, watched starting quarterback Jarrett Lee finish 14-of-20 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

Auburn quarterback Clint Moseley was sacked six times for minus-44 yards.

LSU scored three touchdowns within 2:24 in the third quarter and doubled their 21-3 halftime advantage and earned its biggest victory in the 46-game history with Auburn.

LSU was never behind in scoring and Auburn was no threat to the LSU defense which had 10 tackles, six sacks and forced two turnovers with an interception returned for a touchdown.

The LSU Tigers played without three key players, starting running back Spencer Ware, starting cornerback Tyrann Mathieu and top reserve corner Tharold Simon. They didn't play in the game because of suspensions, but that wasn't a problem for LSU.
