If you weren't at the CenturyLink Center in Bossier City Saturday night, chances are you're one of the few who weren't.  Martina McBride and George Strait performed to a sell-out crowd,  in fact traffic was so congested many missed Martina McBride, who took the stage at 7:30 pm.

I was stuck in traffic on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway leading up to CenturyLink Center for at least 40 minutes.  But when I finally arrived inside the arena, Martina was belting out "This One's for the Girls."  That fit us perfectly since I was accompanied by my 16-year-old daughter.

Martina is an amazing talent with a voice that can belt out any high note she wants.  I noticed every time she'd hit one,  her arm would go up into the air, like she was pointing number one.  My favorite Martina song was her finale, "Independence Day."

George Strait with his incredible "Ace in the Hole" band was just as fantastic as the last time I saw them, maybe even better.  He did a lot of songs off his new album, "Here For A Good Time."

And of course the crowd went wild when he did his signature songs, like "Amarillo By Morning," and "All My Ex's Live in Texas."  As part of his encore he did one of the most amazing version's of Johnny Cash's "I Hear That Train A Coming," that I've ever heard.

Yes, George Strait proved again to Bossier City why he's The King of Country.
