It’s now 1,200 wins for LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri after a 10-3 victory over McNeese State on Wedensday.

That makes Mainieri’s record 1200-633-8 in 32 seasons as a college head coach. He is one of just nine coaches in Division 1 baseball to reach that milestone. The 9th-ranked Tigers are now 21-8-1 on the season.

LSU-McNeese St. Recap

LSU, who has struggled at the plate lately, collected 10 hits against the Cowboys.  Alex Bregman hit a three run homer and Sean McMullen had a two run home run.  Eight LSU pitchers combined to hold MSU to three runs on nine hits.  Kurt McCune collected the win in relief.

LSU will play host to Mississippi State this weekend for a three game SEC series as they continue an 8-game homestand.
