It has been a long time since LSU Basketball stepped foot on the hardwood. This was the first game since the Tigers defeated Butler in the Old Spice Classic 70-68.

Despite the long layoff, there was no sign of rust for Johnny Jones and his players.

The Tigers went on a 15-2 run to put some distance between themselves and the ULM Warhawks on Saturday.

With the victory LSU is now 6-2 on the young season.

Jordan Mickey matches his season high in points with 25. He was 9-for-13 from the field and 7-for-9 from the charity stripe.

Andre Stringer scored 10 points in the game, and was the only other player who scored in double figures for LSU.

LSU star forward Johnny O' Bryant III was held to only four points.

You will not have to wait weeks to see the Tigers on the court again. LSU will go on the road to play at Texas Tech on Wednesday (December 18). That game will tip off at 8 p.m., but you can hear coverage of the game at 7:30 only on 1130 The Tiger.
