LSU Baseball Wins Again: 10-2 over Sacred Heart [PHOTOS, VIDEO]

The LSU baseball team is busy this week with five games on the schedule. After Wednesday night's win, 10-2 over Sacred Heart, the Tigers have won the first two with a three game series against Washington still left to play beginning on Friday.

Third ranked LSU (12-1) had eight different Tigers pick up hits Wednesday night. LSU exploded for six runs in the second inning.

Mason Katz and Raph Rhymes each extended their hitting streaks to 11 games.

Starting pitcher Nick Rumbelow got the win retiring all six batters he faced to start the game. Head coach Paul Manieri said, "I was very pleased with the way Nick threw the ball tonight. He seemed very relaxed and at ease on the mound, and he's ready to step back into a prominent role out of our bullpen."

The Tigers have a three game series with Washington this weekend. Aaron Nola will be the starting pitcher for Friday's contest in Alex Box. Coverage on 1130 the Tiger begins at 6:30pm Friday, first-pitch at 7pm.
