Baseball is hard to figure. Last week, then 2nd ranked LSU lost their first SEC series of the season to then 10th ranked South Carolina. The week before that, South Carolina was swept by Florida. This week, 3rd ranked LSU swept (and I mean swept in a big way) 19th ranked Florida. The Tigers swamped the Gators 18-6 on Saturday's game 3.

The Tigers got their first Grand Slam of the season in game 3 courtesy of Jacoby Jones.  Jones had six RBI in the series sweeper.  The 18 runs are the most scored by the Tigers in a game this season.  The 19 hits LSU collected is the most against an SEC opponent since 2010.

Third baseman Christian Ibarra had a big series.  He went 3 for 3 on Saturday.  Jones had six RBI.

LSU is now 43-6 on the season, 19-5 in the SEC.  The Tigers only have three games this week and won't play until Thursday.  The begin a three game road SEC series against Texas A&M, first pitch on Thursday will be at 8pm.
