The LSU Baseball team collected their 10th win of the season Wednesday with an 8-1 win over Sacred Heart at Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

Starting pitcher Brady Domangue pitched only three innings but collected the win giving up a single run on three hits.  Sacred Heart's lone run came in the top of the first inning on a solo home run by right-fielder Jayson Sullivan.

Head Coach Paul Mainieri said, "Brady Domangue is a tremendous young man and a very talented pitcher, and I thought he did an excellent job tonight.  He looked very comfortable in a starting role, and he’s going to continue to pitch a lot of significant innings for us. I was very encouraged by the outings of all of our pitchers tonight; I thought they all threw the ball well."

It was the Tiger bullpen that impressed.  Zac Person, Nate Fury, Kurt McCune and Henri Faucheux combined to shut out Sacred Heart over six innings.

The Pioneers biggest threat to score came in the fifth inning with the bases loaded.  Zac Person struck out Dan Perez to end the inning.

Alex Bregman and Andrew Stevenson each had two hits.  Chris Chinea knocked in two runs.

The fourth ranked Fightin' Tigers travel to Natchitoches today to take on Northwestern State.
