The no. 8-ranked LSU baseball team recorded a school-record 11th shutout Wednesday night after a 5-0 win over Lamar. The original school record was 10 shutouts in a season recorded in 1996.

The Tigers used nine pitchers to seal the deal. Head coach Paul Maneri said he is impressed with his pitching staff, which was a concern during the offseason after LSU lost seven players from their bullpen.

LSU scored five runs on only four hits.  Tyler Moore had two hits and one run batted in. Kade Scivicque walked three times and scored once.  Henry Faucheux picked up the win despite only throwing two innings. He is 2-0 on the season.

The Tigers will look to add to their five-game win streak this weekend when they welcome in conference opponent Arkansas on Friday.
