The LSU Tigers won their 10th SEC Tournament Championship on Sunday in Hoover, Alabama! The SEC Tourney Title just adds to what is already an historic season for the Purple and Gold.

#2 LSU defeated #1 Vanderbilt in the SEC title game 5-4 on Sunday.

C.E. Byrd grad and LSU closer Chris Cotton was named tournament MVP.  Cotton retired every batter he faced in the tournament and notched four tournament saves.  Four Tigers, including Cotton, were named to the SEC All-Tournament Team.  Third Baseman Christian Ibarra, Outfielder Jared Foster, and Sean McMullen named as DH.

It's an historic season for LSU, having won a school record 48 games in their 56 game regular season schedule.  The Tigers are now 52-9 on the season, the best mark ever for the program.  There are more games to win!  LSU hosts the NCAA Tournament Regional in Baton Rouge.  LSU will play SWAC Champ Jackson State on Friday.
