This was the very first time the LSU Tigers have ever played in Columbia, Missouri against their newest Southeastern Conference foes, the Missouri Tigers.

And, this was a visit LSU would like to forget.

Early in the contest, the Missouri Tigers (21-8, 9-6 SEC) jumped to an early 7-0 lead right out of the gate, and they never looked back.

Throughout the game, the Tigers from Louisiana trailed by as many as 13 points. That was the total the LSU Tigers (17-10, 8-8 SEC) would eventually lose by, 89-76.

Anthony Hickey led the way for the LSU Tigers with his 22 points. Johnny O' Brien III played well, as he netted 18 points in the game, along with 8 rebounds.

Today's loss may have been a devastating blow to the Tigers' NCAA Tournament chances, but they will have a chance to redeem themselves when they square off against the Texas A & M Aggies on the road.

The Tigers and Aggies play Wednesday at 7 p.m., with coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. on "Your Home For LSU Sports" 1130 The Tiger.
