The vast majority of people on this earth know the stress of balancing our hectic home and work lives.  It's crazy sometimes, and I just know there's a better way than jamming my schedule full and sacrificing sleep (and sanity) to get it all done. Luckily, science agrees, and has a solution: The 6-day weekend.

Don't take my word for it, this is genuine result from a massive study conducted by the esteemed Cambridge and Salford universities and published in the renowned and respected Science Daily.  The conclusion reached after studying the lives of 71,000 working-age people between 2009 and 2018 is that 8 hours of paid work a week was the optimal schedule for significantly boosting "mental health and life satisfaction."  The study further revealed that increasing that work load added no significant increases in well-being.

While the results seem to suggest that employers pay us 5 times as much for 1 fifth the work, researchers claim that the data points to a very significant remedy for the unemployed.  The revelation is this: While micro-jobs (also referred to as a "side hustle") may not provide enough financial relief for folks who can't find a job - working on anything that pays you money will help alleviate a great deal off the stress and depression that comes with being out of a full-time job.

So, don't quit your day job.  If you do happen to get fired, any job that pays is better than none for your mental (and financial) health - even if it's just one day a week.
