Calvary Cavaliers junior-to-be Shea Patterson is one of the top two or three quarterback prospects for the class of 2016.

The longtime Arizona Wildcat commit received a scholarship offer recently from Les Miles and the LSU Tigers, bringing the total number of offers to over 30, including Alabama, Oklahoma, Auburn, Notre Dame and Texas.

CoachingSearch.com reports Patterson’s older brother Sean has accepted a job as an offensive quality control coach at LSU, leaving a Grad Assistant job at Arizona.

Coincidence, or just happenstance?  Either way, it can't hurt LSU's pursuit of the uber-talented younger Patterson.

Interesting thought: With Parkway alum Brandon Harris in the mix to start at quarterback this season as he battles sophomore Anthony Jennings, the Shreveport-Bossier area could --- COULD --- be in line to provide starting quarterbacks for the next seven-eight years in Baton Rouge.

If Shea Patterson, who committed to Arizona as a high school freshman in Texas back in 2012, flips to LSU by signing day in 2016, and if rising Evangel sophomore Connor Curry becomes a target for Les Miles in the recruiting class of 2017, LSU's offense COULD be steered by local products through the 2021 season.

Hey, a local sportscaster can dream, can't he?
