The Calvary Baptist Academy Cavaliers, who are the No. 1-ranked team in Class 2A and the defending Div. III State Champions, will play host to the No. 3- ranked Parkway Panthers tonight at Calvary’s Jerry Barker Stadium. This matchup of two stellar programs officially kicks off the 2014 high school football season.

Calvary Cavaliers junior-to-be Shea Patterson is one of the top two or three quarterback prospects for the class of 2016.

This is what many in South Bossier have been waiting on for a long time. The opportunity is finally here for the David Feaster-led Parkway Panthers to showcase what they have done all season long to get to this point. And, if you are watching the game in New Orleans or watching it among other Parkway faithful, you can be part of the action, too!

There are plenty of reasons to celebrate in Shreveport-Bossier and throughtout all of Northwest Louisiana. Out of the 18 teams vying for a state championship in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome beginning Thursday, five of those teams are from our region!
