Local bass tournament guru and long time tournament director, Mike Echols, can finally breathe a little easier.

For years he's produced the Shreveport/Bossier area's premiere team bass tournament circuit, the BOSS Tournament Trail, but after being advised by the long time sponsor that circumstances would prevent them from renewing their relationship, he was at his wit's end frantically searching for a new sponsor.

This morning, we're happy to announce that he was successful with his efforts and that H&W Marine, in partnership with G-3 Boats and several other great sponsors, will be hosting a Team Trail Bass Circuit starting in February 2022.

In an exclusive interview with Echols, he says the "official name of the circuit has yet to be decided on", but we do know that the local circuit will have four qualifying events scheduled for the first Saturday of each month beginning in February 2022 and running through May of 2022.

Will There Be A Championship Like In Previous Years?

The circuit will culminate with the two day championship which will be held the first full weekend of June, 2022.

Echols wrote, "The Hughes family and G-3 are to be commended for being able to put this together on short notice and the area anglers are very fortunate to have this opportunity in 2022."

What Lakes Will Be Included?

In past years, local lakes included in the circuit ranged from Caddo, Cross, Lake Bistineau, Black Lake and Toledo Bend. One can only assume these lakes would most likely be included in 2022.  However, the actual lakes of each event are not decided as yet but that info and entries will be out as soon as possible.
