The New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys convened for a joint training camp practice last week, and all hell broke loose.

The teams met at the Cowboys training facility in Oxnard, California to run through specialized offensive and defensive drills. But the session quickly devolved into chaos across the main field as tensions escalated between the rosters. Multiple physical altercations forced the coaching staffs to stop the practice and separate the squads.

Saints And Cowboys Brawl Dominates Joint Practice

Frustrations boiled over during team drills when players from both sides engaged in aggressive physical altercations. These initial fights escalated into full brawls...involving dozens of players from both sidelines entering the battle. Coaches and training staff struggled to maintain order as the skirmishes halted the entire practice.

Saints rookie wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner became the focal point from the afternoon, after a video surfaced of his involvement in the scrum. Rechsteiner is the son of WWE Hall of Fame professional wrestler Scott Steiner...a lineage he clearly displayed on the field as the rookie receiver was captured on film delivering a textbook suplex to a Dallas Cowboys defensive back during the height of the brawl.

NFL Issues Half Million Dollar Fines Following Altercations

The NFL responded to the brawls by handing down severe financial penalties. League officials levied a $500,000 fine against both the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys organizations.

Now we get to see how these fights will play out long-term, as the two teams are preparing to meet in Week 3 of the Preseason. The two teams will meet up at AT&T Stadium to wrap up their Preseason schedules, and hopefully escape without any more fights or fines.
