Umpire Takes Cleat to the Face [VIDEO]

An exciting play at the plate turned into a scary collison between Torii Hunter's cleat and umpire Greg Gibson's face.

Even though Gibson had to the leave the game, he's was lucky enough to only suffer a gash that needed a few stitches rather than a concussion or something much worse.

Kudos to Angel outfielder Torii Hunter who was obviously more concerned with the welfare of the umpire rather than the call of safe or out.  Check out the video below.

The play happened in the fifth inning of the Angels 8-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians in Anaheim Wednesday night.
