We love Thursdays on The Tim Fletcher Show. It's the day before Friday!

We also love the hire of new Louisiana Tech women's basketball coach Tyler Summit. And, whenever Tim Fletcher decides to sing. Okay, maybe not.

This week, Louisiana Tech Athletic Director Tommy McClleland hired Tyler Summit to run the women's basketball program that recently became vacant with the firing of Tech basketball legend Teresa Witherspoon.

If the last name sounds familiar, he is the son of legendary Tennessee Lady Volunteers head coach Pat Summit.

Listen to what Summit has to say on the Lady Techsters program and how it's comparable to the Lady Volunteers program.

With the hiring of Summit came rumors of former Bulldog Karl Malone offering to pay the salary of recently fired head coach, Teresa Weatherspoon, if UL-Monroe hired her. But, it doesn't stop there! Guess who ULM hired instead!
