The Saints have agreed to trade the No. 2 pick of the 2006 draft to the Dolphins, pending Bush's agreement to a renegotiated contract with Miami.

He is scheduled to make $11.8 million in the final season of his rookie deal.

Bush seemed to know his time in the Big Easy could be at an end in April after the Saints drafted Alabama running back and Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram  in the first round.

Bush tweeted: "It's been fun New Orleans.''

He is the prototype change-of-pace back coveted in the modern NFL and a dangerous punt returner.  He's averaged nearly 59 receptions per season over the course of his NFL career.

But Bush has too rarely been the impact player many envisioned when he arrived into the league after a star-studded, Heisman Trophy-winning (since stripped) career at USC.

Bush has missed 20 games over the past four seasons dealing with various injuries and only played in eight last year (broken leg).

He has a middling career average of 4.o yards per carry (2,090 career rushing yards) and 33 NFL total TDs in his five seasons.
