The New Orleans Saints didn't just turn around their slump of seasons this year, they have exceeded expectations to the point of hosting a playoff game. No one was really calling for a team that went 7-9 for three straight season to win the NFC South, but here we are. The Saints won the South, and host today's game.

But it's not going to be an easy one, because the team has an old foe coming to their door.

Cam Newton brings NFC South rivals the Carolina Panthers to Nola for today's game.

There's been a lot said about this game, even before it was official last weekend, but now it's here. So let's get some final thought's from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"The Saints will host division rival Carolina this Sunday in a wild-card playoff game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. New Orleans started its season with an 0-2 record, but began an eight-game winning streak by beating the Panthers in Week 3. The Saints also beat the Panthers 31-21 at home on December 3rd. Saints sideline reporter Kristian Garic says there’s a belief that it is difficult to beat a team three times in one season, but history shows that’s not the case.

Two Saints players are listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, defensive end Trey Hendrickson and offensive tackle Terron Armstead. Carolina has four players questionable, including former LSU Tiger and offensive guard Trai Turner and wide receiver Devin Funchess."
