Number 20 TCU head coach Gary Patterson had some choice words about Les Miles decision to let running back Jeremy Hill back on the team following his latest misdemeanor guilty plea. Earlier this summer, Patterson suspended All Big 12 defensive end Devonte Fields for two games for team rules violations. Patterson was critical of Miles allowing the players to vote on Hill’s potential return.

Patterson never considered putting the suspension of Fields up to a vote. He told Dallas area reporters that his whole team would vote Devonte back because they want to win, but that doesn’t teach life lessons.

Patterson also said he took the unanimous vote to return Hill by LSU’s players as a compliment to his team.

LSU and TCU will face each other to the start the season on August 31st in the Cowboys Classic, a game in which Jeremy Hill potentially will play and Devonte Fields will not.
