
SWEPCO Reports More Than 25,000 Power Outages in Shreveport-Bossier Wednesday Night
Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) is reporting that tens of thousands of people have experienced power outages Wednesday night as high winds swept through the Ark-La-Tex region.
According to SWEPCO, Caddo Parish has experienced over 16,000 outages and Bossier Parish has experienced over 9,000 outages as of press time. Just over 600 power outages were reported in DeSoto Parish.
Arkansas was also hit with nearly 7,000 reported outages across Miller, Little River and Sevier counties. And in Texas, Bowie County saw over 5,400 power outages while Cass County experienced over 450.
