Shreveport Mudbugs Host Geek’d Con Night to Celebrate Shreveport’s Comic Con

The Shreveport Mudbugs hockey team is one of the most success sports franchises that has ever called the City of Shreveport home. The franchise has a history of championships across multiple leagues. From their tenure in the Western Professional Hockey League (WPHL) and the Central Hockey League (CHL), to their current dominance in the North American Hockey League (NAHL), the Mudbugs' trophy case is a testament to their consistent winning record.

Despite a temporary hiatus (due to venue availability challenges) the Mudbugs' on-ice performance and fan support remained unwavering. The franchise returned in 2015, and the team swiftly reaffirmed its prowess. The Mudbugs won two NAHL Robertson Cup Championships in their first handful of years back on Shreveport ice.

With the team returning for the 2016-2017 season, that means the NAHL version of the Mudbugs are about to celebrate their 10th year anniversary. Speaking of 10 year anniversaries, Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is about to celebrate 10 years in Downtown Shreveport.

So What Are The Mudbugs and Geek'd Con Teaming Up For?

Geek'd Con debuted in August of 2015, and will hit the 10 year mark this August at the Shreveport Convention Center. The dates for this year's Geek'd Con will be August 22nd-24th.

This Friday night, two of Shreveport's most celebrated brands will come together for a night of fun. As the Shreveport Mudbugs host Geek'd Con night.

Geek'd Con night will take place Friday, March 28th, 2025. The Mudbugs will have geeky events, games, and prizes. Those prizes will include Geek'd Con gift packs. And the Mudbugs are already getting into the geeky mood with a ticket code challenge.
