New Orleans Saints first round draft pick, defensive lineman Marcus Davenport, will reportedly miss the next month of the season.

Davenport will be out with a toe injury that was sustained in last Sunday night’s win over Minnesota. The defensive end could miss more time, but Davenport said he’s still weighing his medical options before a final determination is made on how much time he’ll miss.

Over the summer, Davenport dealt with a thumb injury that required surgery, and but him behind schedule to start his rookie year.

The Saints made a big move in this year's NFL Draft to secure Davenport. The Saints wanted the UTSA product so badly, they swapped first round picks in this year's draft with the Green Bay Packers, and gave the Pack their first round pick in next year's draft too. Essentially, Davenport was worth two first round draft picks to the Saints.

But so far, just a handful of games into Davenport career, he's appeared to be more injury prone than anything else.
