If I get a chance to sit in front of the TV there's about a 75% chance I will end up watching NBC's runaway docu-comedy hit - The Office.  Seriously, I must have seen the entire season several times over, and it never gets old.  The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is that they aren't still being made.

That may change with the launch of NBCUniversal's new streaming service, the Peacock.  Of course, talk of revitalizing one of the most beloved shows in television history has been going on for a while - but a few recent changes could make this a reality.

NBC brought The Office to America by cloning a very successful British show, so they  have a special place in their hearts (and wallets) for the Steve Carell led show.  The series was obviously a ratings smash, but it was also nominated for 42 Emmy awards - and it took home 5 of those.  The show had been in syndication for years before being picked up by Netflix, where it performed extremely well.  After some negotiation, the show is now headed for the Peacock where it will join reboots for Battlestar Galactica, Saved By the Bell and Punky Brewster.

NBCU’s Bonnie Hammer, Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer and Digital Enterprises, told Deadline that it is their, "...hope and goal to make a reboot of The Office."  The Peacock is set to launch in January of 2021.
