The Kyle Blankenship-led LSU-Shreveport Pilots have been one of the hottest teams in the nation this season. This continued as the Pilots win their 10th consecutive game over the Our Lady of the Lake Saints 116-109.

The game did not start out the way the Pilots wanted it to, however. LSUS trailed by 14 points in the first half. By halftime, LSUS had a five-point lead over OLLU.

Pilots Senior Forward Will Nelson was a key difference that allowed the Pilots to overcome that early deficit. Nelson scored a total of 50 points in the game. The last Pilot to score 50 or more was last season when Rodney Milum scored 53.

Nelson also helped LSUS from the charity stripe. He made a total of 28 free throws, he was 28-for-34. The total of 34 free throws was one more attempted than the entire OLLU team. Nelson also racked up 16 rebounds during the contest.

LSUS Senior Brandon Davis had a double-double on Saturday night, scoring 24 points and rebounding the ball 10 times.

Dundrecous Nelson scored 17 points, and Former Louisiana Tech Bulldog and Bossier Bearkat Tevin Hall scored 13.
