LSU only managed one run--courtesy of a infield fly--but that was enough to defeat the University of South Florida in a elimination game at the NCAA College Softball World Series Saturday afternoon in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The Lady Tigers (40-24) won't get much of a rest. They will play Saturday at 6pm against Arizona State.

Against USF, A.J. Andrews scored the game's only run, when Allison Falcon lofted a fly ball to deep short. South Florida's Kourtney Salvarola made the catch at the edge of the outfield grass, and Andrews, who was hit by a pitch and eventually advanced to third base, tagged up and took off for home. She made a wide slide, her left hand barely getting a part of the plate.

LSU senior Brittany Mack pitched her 15th career shutout, giving up just two hits.
