The LSU Tigers had a sweet victory last night over the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 19-6.   The Tiger defense was strong,  constantly putting pressure on  the Bulldogs quarterback and shutting down Mississippi State's running game.

LSU quarterback Jarrett Lee was on fire,  as well with 21 completions of 27 passes.  Lee had 213 yards and a touchdown as the  No.  3 team  beat  No. 25.

Lee threw  nearly perfect passes all over the field.  His 19-yard touchdown pass to Rueben Randle with 11:56 left in the fourth quarter gave LSU a 16-6 lead.

His  interception  minutes later, ended up a moot point, as the Tiger defense downed Mississippi State without any apparent trouble.  LSU  held the Bulldogs to two field goals.

And, take into account the game was played at  Miss. State,  all their cowbells trying to rattle the powerhouse that LSU is.   The Tigers have won 12 straight games in the series since 1999.

Lee was so great LSU fans may be losing interest in Jordan Jefferson.  You may recall, Jefferson was suspended all season after being arrested for his alleged role in a bar fight in August.  Lee  remained calm, connecting with open receivers down field.

LSU's  Spencer Ware rushed for 107 yards on 22 carries.

The Tigers'  only problem seemed to be too many penalties.  They had five in the third quarter,  causing them to lose 67 yards.
