KWKH Pregame 12:30PM - Kick at 2:30PM

The Vols, who've had lots of injuries, are coming off a 20-12 loss to Georgia. They are 3-2 overall and 0-2 in conference action.

LSU head coach Les Miles said, "We had a good week, I enjoy how this team prepares and how they take the field each day at practice with the attitude of getting better". Miles went on to say, "This team has fun and I enjoy the effort in which they work. There's a real want to improve each day. We recognize it's going to be a big game in an opponent's stadium, and we're looking forward to it."

Through the years, LSU teams have only won twice in Knoxville, when they beat the Vols, 34-9, in 1988 and then again 28-24 in Miles' only trip to Rocky Top in 2006.

Saturday also marks the return to Knoxville for LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis, who held the same position at Tennessee for 14 years. Chavis is in his third year at LSU and his Tiger defense currently ranks in the top 10 in the nation in four categories - scoring, total yards, rushing yards, and pass efficiency.

"He reminisces and enjoys the return," Miles said of Chavis. "He wants to bring a great team and a great defense with him."

Miles said that starting center P.J. Lonergan will make the trip and will try to play on Saturday. Lonergan was injured in the second half of last week's win over Florida. Miles said that if Lonergan can't go that senior T-Bob Hebert will take over at center for the Tigers.
