The TCU Horned Frogs made it an interesting game late in the game, but Les Miles' LSU Tigers prevailed 37-27 in the Cowboys Classic Saturday night in Arlington.

New offensive coordinator Cam Cameron's offense proved to be effective when it mattered most.

Video highlights

No. 12 ranked LSU finished the game with 448 yards of total offense. Starting quarterback Zack Mettenberger finished 16-for-32 and passed for 251 yards in Saturday night's victory.

Cam Cameron's offensive technique came into play late in the game when Mettenberger put the icing on the cake when his pass to Jarvis Landry extended LSU's lead over TCU to 10.

Junior running back Terrance Magee shined in this game, scoring two touchdowns. Magee's first touchdown came early in the third quarter to put LSU on top 23-10. His second touchdown was a 3-yard walk to the end zone later in the third quarter. Magee finished the contest with 95 yards on 13 carries.

With Saturday night's victory, the Tigers win their 11th straight season opener, and win their 42nd straight non-conference game in the regular season.
