LSU Closer, Byrd Grad Chris Cotton on Stopper of the Year Watch List.

LSU Senior and Shreveport native Chris Cotton has been named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award Watch List.

The award is given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division 1 baseball.

So far, Chris is 2-0 this season with a 1.71 ERA, and 8 saves. The SEC leads all conferences, with 8 players named to the 51 man list. Finalists will be announced June 5th.  The winner will be announced during the College World Series.

Cotton is a graduate of C.E. Byrd High School.
