LSU Baseball Survives The First Round Of The SEC Tournament
The LSU Tigers baseball team made yet another come back to win a game in 2018. But this time, it was in the SEC Baseball Tournament.
The Tigers came back from a 3-0 deficit in the 5th inning, and ended up beating Mississippi State 8-5 last night. The Tigers survived the "win or go home round" and will now advance to the double elimination portion of the SEC Tournament.
The Tigers scored two runs in the 5th, 6th 7th and 8th innings for a victory that should help their chances of making the NCAA Tournament. Most prediction publications have the Tigers being one of the last teams in, or first teams out. With a strong showing last night, and the chance to make some more noise, this performance only helped their chances.
LSU faces top ranked Florida at around 4:30 this afternoon, and as we were reminded yesterday, the SEC Tournament can cause fits with start times, as the Tigers were set for a 4:30pm first pitch, that didn't end up happening until around 6pm.
You can catch this evenings LSU game on 1130 The Tiger, which is 1130AM across Shreveport and Bossier.
