
LSU Baseball Opens 2013 Season Against Maryland: First pitch Friday 7pm
LSU baseball is just two days away! On Friday night, the Tigers open their season in Alex Box Stadium against Maryland.
The number 3 ranked Tigers will host the Terrapins for a 3 game set in Baton Rouge.
Head coach Paul Maineiri is in his 7th season at LSU and is aiming for a second straight SEC championship. Some of the familiar faces in tomorrow’s line-up will include SEC player of the year Raph Rhymes in left field. Jacoby Jones returns to second base and Mason Katz will be at first. Some new faces include freshman Alex Bergman, who will start at shortstop and Christian Ibarra at third base. Mound ace Chris Cotton will likely start one of the three games in the series.
Friday’s game will start at 7pm, with pregame coverage starting at 6:30. You’ll also hear Sunday’s game against Maryland on the Tiger. There will be three other non-conference games broadcast on the Tiger this season. We’ll carry all the SEC games beginning March 15th against Mississippi State.
