The LSU Tigers Baseball team has started the season 2-0 after knocking out Army in Alex Box Stadium, 6-5.

For the second time in two days, LSU needed some late inning heroics to claim victory. Friday night, in the season opener, LSU got a late inning grand slam from Antoine Duplantis to push past UL Monroe. Saturday, it was Cade Beloso blasting a 3-run walk off home run in the bottom of the ninth the secure an LSU victory.

Tigers pitching was a little better on Saturday. After star pitcher Zack Hess struggle through 3 and two thirds on Friday night, freshman Landon Marceaux pitched into the 6th for the Tigers on Saturday. He only gave up two hits and one run while facing 22 batters.

Last year's post-season hero Todd Peterson got the win for the Tigers, while making his first appearance of the season.

Duplantis added to his early season RBI total on Satuday, knocking in one run to bring his two game total to 7 RBIs.
