The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in Overtime to win Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. The game was won on a walk-off touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to Mecole Hardman with just seconds left in Overtime.

It wasn't a great Super Bowl, with both teams struggling to move the ball for the majority of the game. It wasn't that the defenses were playing great either, the game was just hard to watch.

That doesn't mean there weren't some great plays during the game. San Francisco Wide Receiver Jauan Jennings had the only passing touchdown until Jennings caught a touchdown pass of his own, from Quarterback Brock Purdy in the fourth quarter. Which is the best example of how odd this game was; there was a successful trick play that had a receiver throw a touchdown pass, but that was the ONLY touchdown of the game from 4:23 left in the 2nd quarter till 11:22 left in the fourth quarter.

Even though the defenses weren't playing an incredible game either, there were still plays made on defense. You didn't see a huge number of sacks, interceptions, or any defensive touchdowns...but some explosive hits did happen.

Really, this game was so boring, the best part was probably the punting game from both teams.

At the end of the day, the Chiefs were able to limp to the endzone more than the 49ers to win their second Super Bowl in a row. Its the third Super Bowl Championship of the Mahomes era.

With the win, there were three Louisiana-born players who earned Super Bowl rings. Two of them were some of the only players actually making plays during the game.

The first is L’Jarius Sneed from Minden, Louisiana.

He played his college football at Louisiana Tech, and is a Captain for the Chiefs. He finished the game with 3 tackles and a Pass Deflection. He should get a lot of credit for locking down the 49ers receivers all game.

Also helping create a no-fly-zone for the Chiefs was Justin Reid from Prairieville, Louisiana.

Reid played his high school football in Louisiana, but left to play his college football at Stanford. In the Super Bowl, he was second on the Chiefs in tackles with 9, and recorded half a sack.

The final Louisiana-born player to score a Super Bowl ring was Clyde Edwards-Helaire from Baton Rouge, La.

Edwards-Helaire, a National Champion at LSU, earned his second Super Bowl ring with the Chiefs, in the first Super Bowl he was able to suit up for them. Like most of the Chiefs offense (and the 49ers offense too) Edwards-Helaire couldn't get much going. He did have one carry on the night, but didn't gain any yards.
