With the college football championship game just days away, the hype machine that is American media is in full force promoting Monday night's LSU versus Clemson battle.

With the boys from Baton Rouge going into the game as a five and a half point favorite, the biggest story is the battle of the two best quarterback's in the college game, Clemson's Trevor Lawrence and LSU's Heisman Trophy winner, Joe Burrow.

It's Burrow, the Ohio native, that Louisianans have taken into their hearts as he's put up record numbers in the revamped Tigers offense, regarded as the strongest in the country. But it's the Burrow story that cements the emotional bond with folks across the state. From his transfer from Ohio State as an unwanted third stringer, to his Heisman acceptance speech where he tearfully thanked Coach Ed Orgeron, to the forever legendary "Joe Burreaux" jersey at his final home game at Tiger Stadium, the young man from a small town in the midwest has been his best on the biggest stage.

And now, LSU's #9 and Tiger nation...there's only one game to go. And we're all holding our breath.
