LSU opened SEC play in Nashville today, and it really didn't seem like much of an SEC game. The Tigers wrecked Vanderbilt 66-38 on Vandy's home field. At this point, we're honestly not sure if it had more to do with how good LSU is, or how bad Vanderbilt is.

LSU quarterback Joe Burrow furthered his claim to the early season Heisman Trophy hype, with a 398 yard 6 touchdown performance in his first SEC action of 2019. So far in 2019, Burrow has 17 touchdowns against 2 interceptions. As of the time this is being written, Burrow is tied for the lead nationally for passing touchdowns with Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa, at 17 touchdowns. Burrow is leading in passing yards against Tua though, Alabama's QB has 1,300 yards, while Burrow has 1,520.

Beyond that, Burrow showed a certain "swagger" against some of the Vandy defenders. Which has LSU fans fired up about number 9...

Oh, by the way, those 6 touchdowns Burrow threw today? That's an LSU SCHOOL RECORD.
