The final score was Saints 49-24 over the Giants.   Brees threw for 363 yards and four touchdowns and dove into the end zone for an additional score in the second half of the Saint's big win last night.

New Orleans was in control early even in the first half, 21-3.  The Saints  had no problem after that.   At 8 and 3 ,  the NFC South leaders remained unbeaten through five games in New Orleans.

Brees and his offense amassed 577 net yards.

According to Coach Sean Payton Brees is  throwing the ball "with great rhythm and anticipation...He would tell you we're doing a good job of protecting. We had the balance we're looking for."

Payton was especially encouraged that New Orleans rushed for 205 yards and three scores. Rookie Mark Ingram, the Heisman Trophy winning running back from the University of Alabama,  led the way with 13 carries for 80 yards, including a 35-yard dash into the end zone to complete the scoring.

"I thought we ran it well. We ran it very well," Payton said. "Those are all things that are good allies for a quarterback."
